Historic and Famous League Stadium
Originally built in 1894, the team calls historic League Stadium in Huntingburg home during the summer months just as the Rockford Peaches did in the movie, League of Their Own. Directed by Penny Marshall and starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna and Rosie O’Donnell, this film is well known, especially for the line “There’s no crying in baseball!” delivered by Tom Hank’s character, coach Jimmy Dugan. Released in 1992, the film grossed over $130 million and was critically acclaimed.
More Than a Ball Game
Bombers games are truly a one-of-a-kind experience for the whole family! America’s favorite pastime at its absolute best! When entering the gate, you sense you have stepped back in time with the classic 1940’s era signage, scoreboard, and overall atmosphere, including the players wearing vintage-inspired uniforms where pants are knickered and stirrups are worn! During games, Peaches, the friendly ambassadors, are in the stadium helping everyone have a wonderful time while watching great baseball.
Once again, they will have Bombers Kids Club. This exciting offer is open to all kids ages 4-12 for a cost of just $25 per season. All club members will receive an official team drawstring bag loaded with FREE tickets to all weekday games, $5 gift certificate to the sweet spot candy corner, private seating along 3rd base line, access to the field during the bombers starting lineup, exclusive giveaways during the games, batting practice on Thursday night games with the bombers, and you could get the change to be a part of the game! The Peaches Wine Bar features a wide selection of chilled wines in addition to the “Famous Peach Wine Slushy.” You will also be able to beat the heat at Peaches Wine Bar with a fruit-filled sangria option, a frozen margarita option, and a variety of frozen margarita popsicles. They don’t stop there. They will also be offering “The Dugan”- a champagne cocktail created by Tom Hanks himself!
