Did you know Southern Indiana has a water park that’s open all year long? Big Splash Adventures in French Lick is a 40,000 square-foot indoor water park that is fully enclosed. Kids will love the slides, splash pads, lagoons and lazy river. There’s also laser tag, mini golf, and an arcade! The water park even has an attached hotel and restaurants for a fun and easy weekend away.
Dubois County Museum

The largest county museum in Indiana is located right here in Southern Indiana, and it’s a must-visit for all ages! The Dubois County Museum in Jasper is over 50,000 square feet and contains more than 55,000 artifacts! There is even an 1880s log home inside the museum and an incredible 1890s 17-room Main Street showing what Southern Indiana was like before the turn of the century.

Bluespring Caverns in Bedford, Indiana Caverns near Corydon, and Squire Boone Caverns & Village in Mauckport are amazing places to explore when it’s freezing above ground! Mesker Park Zoo

Winter got you missing the warmth of summer? Evansville’s 45 acre Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is home to over 700 animals, and its crown jewel is Amazonia—a walk through the wild expanse of the South American Rainforest! This enclosed, climate controlled jungle stays a sultry 75 degrees and comes complete with daily rain shower! Animals include howler monkeys, toucans, capybara, tapir, caiman, and even a jaguar.
