LST 325

Marina Pointe off of Waterworks Rd. on the Ohio River
The LST 325 is an authentic WWII ship that is the last operational LST today. Designed to deliver tanks and other war equipment during sea-to-land invasions like D-Day, LSTs (Landing Ship Tanks) were 330-foot long, 50-foot wide, flat-bottomed behemoths capable of landing on shore to unload up to 2,300 pounds of equipment, pick up the wounded and head back to sea.
