Indiana's First State Capitol

Corydon Capitol State Historic Site commemorates the history of Indiana's First State capitol and development of Indiana from the territorial period through statehood. This square, federal style limestone building was built between 1814 and 1816 and served as the state capitol until the seat of government was moved to Indianapolis on Jan 10, 1825.
