George Rogers Clark National Historic Park

401 S. Second Street
The massive granite structure is located on the site of the British Fort Sackville, which was captured by Clark and his frontiersmen in 1779, resulting in their surrender. This event marks the birth of the United States north of the Ohio River. Today, the memorial complex features a 30 minute video, exhibits and stunning views of the Wabash River.
