With its hand-painted ceilings, carved rosewood staircase, marble fireplaces and crystal chandeliers, the Culbertson Mansion reflects the affluence of a man once considered to be Indiana’s wealthiest. William S. Culbertson had this three-story French, Second-Empire mansion which encompasses more than 20,000 square feet built in 1867. Annual events include spring plant sale, teas, haunted house and holiday home tour.
