No festival is complete without a clown and the Red Skelton Tribute Festival as Vincennes honors America’s favorite. Red’s hometown hosts the biggest clown parade in the Midwest. Expect face painting, balloon animals, kid games and good food, too.

Willkommen! The Jasper Strassenfest is a family-oriented street festival highlighting German music, food, dancing and traditional events and activities. You’ll also find carnival rides, games, a parade and car show throughout the heart of German-influenced Jasper’s downtown.

For over 50 years, the Schweizer Fest in Tell City, annually celebrates this area’s Swiss heritage. The festival also includes an exhibit market, live entertainment, food, amusement rides and games in a family-friendly environment.

The Official Indiana State Picking & Fiddling Championships are held Labor Day weekend in Princeton. Visitors enjoy a weekend full of bluegrass and old time music entertainment as well as a car show, demolition derby, carnival rides and one of the area’s largest parades!

Nearly 650 Old Order Amish families make their homes in Daviess County, Indiana. The Amish Quilt Auction held in Cannelburg features authentic Amish quilt artistry. The editors of the national Quilter’s World Magazine designated the annual quilt auction as a “must-see” event.

The Newburgh Fiddler Fest is a weekend full of live music performances, a beer garden and family activities. Listen to the Big Whopper Contest where participants tell family-appropriate tall tales. A local favorite at the event is a “Fiddler Dinner,” catfish served with corn and cole slaw.
