Orchards and Vines
Indiana’s largest wine grape producer is Huber’s Orchard, Winery and Vineyards. In addition to an extensive collection of award-winning wines, Huber’s offers an agritourism experience for the whole family. Kids can feed the farm animals and enjoy the mountain slide, mini tractor rides, pedal karts and rope maze at the Family Farm Park. Grownups will also enjoy a visit to the Loft for tasting wine or a sample from Indiana’s first distillery, The Starlight Distillery. The farm produces fruits, vegetables, Christmas trees and pumpkins that can be purchased at the farm market. After picking your own apples, stop by the Starlight Café for a homemade lunch and visit the ice cream factory and cheese shoppe, all found on Huber’s beautiful grounds.
Garden Splendor
Tucked within rural Southwestern Indiana is a hidden garden paradise. The Azalea Path Arboretum & Botanical Gardens is considered a hidden gem, offering visitors over 50 colorful acres of 2,000 blooming azaleas. You’ll find a beautifully landscaped setting with two spring-fed lakes, unique chainsaw sculptures, a waterfall, a koi pond and winding pathways to enjoy it all. The best time to visit to view azalea peak bloom time is end of April through mid-May.
